Sheldon Bart

A writer, explorer and historian, Sheldon Bart organized and led the 1996 American Expedition to Baffin Island and managed the 2010 Wilderness Research Antarctic Project. He is the author of Race to the Top of the World: Richard Byrd and the First Flight to the North Pole and has lectured at the National Archives, the Explorers Club, the Adventurers Club of Los Angeles, the Virginia Historical Society, the Massachusetts Historical Society, the Geographical Society of Philadelphia, the Elisha Kent Kane Historical Society, and the Byrd Polar Research Center at Ohio State University.
Formerly an associate of LAPA Fundraising in New York, he assists the APS and other non-profit organizations in this capacity. His latest projects include a biography and a novel.
